Why there is no Ancient Shrine or architectural artwork in Delhi

. Someone asked me, "Why there is no Ancient Shrine or architectural artwork in Delhi?" Surajkund (Lake Of The Sun) is an ancient reservoir of the 10th century located on Southern Delhi Ridge of Aravalli hill range in Faridabad,Haryana. The condition of the Kund is not good now

Surajkund is built by the king Surajpal Tomar

Surajkund is built by the king "Surajpal Tomar" of the "Tomara Dynasty" in the 10th century, a younger son of Anangpal Tomar (was the ruler of Delhi). He was a sun worshipper and he had therefore built a Sun temple on its western bank.

Surajkund, also called the Peacock lake

Now Surajkund is known for its annual fair "Surajkund International Craft Mela". Surajkund, also called the Peacock lake, because of its delightful beauty is now a well known tourism destination in Haryana state.

Buddhist monks are looking after the tourist place

The only tourist site in the district is in disrepair even after spending one crore. Surajkund is full of water, but there is a lot of dirt. The administration is not trying to remove Surajkund's plight. Here some Buddhist monks are looking after the tourist place.
